Sermon from November 22, 2009. With Advent approaching, we are reminded in Deuteronomy 8 to not forget the Lord. And as we remember God, it could be said that our faith calls us to respond with more than words. (James 2:14-16) This discussion, as a preface to Advent and Christmas , invites us together to respond and act in love outwardly as we praise God for the birth of our Savior. "The 10 Commandments" (Part 1)
Study of the 1st and 2nd commandments. Instead of responding only to rules or implementing a behavior modification system, we will strive to better understand having a heart for God that loves Him based on the rescue He's given.

Exodus 18 - We will attempt to better see the importance of our individual roles in the journey to the Promised Land. Our sharing responsibilities creates leadership, not for the wielding of power but to implement good change. Each of us are given gifts (1 Corinthians 12) to better serve the entire community. Through both cooperating under effective leadership and stepping up as individuals, we can better communicate the work we should be doing.
