Nostoi Community

Our ministry to the unhoused and those in housing transition is so much more than just sharing a meal and resources with those in need. It is a place of community, a place to create friendships and an invitation to deeper connection. This is why we lovingly refer to our homeless ministry as the Nostoi Community.

The word Nostoi, the plural of the Greek word nostos, has been defined as meaning: return, homecoming; a song about homecoming; a return to light and life. And the word community can be described as a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Therefore, Nostoi Community, is a living song of fellowship, homecoming, and of returning to light and life. A place where you and me become WE!

We invite you into this community, to be part of this deeper connection, to return to light and life with us.

Lindale Campus

The Lindale campus is more than a building, it's a place where neighbors come to learn, receive support, and find community. Located in the Near Northside neighborhood of Houston, we've partnered with trusted local organizations to offer practical, accessible services to the people who live there. That looks like weekday childcare and after school programs, ESL and computer literacy classes, food distribution, and ongoing help connecting families with the resources they need.

But underneath all of it is a simple conviction: people deserve to be seen, supported, and welcomed — not just handed services. Every week the building fills with neighbors learning alongside each other, families receiving care, and a community that is slowly but genuinely being built. On the third Thursday of each month, we gather for a bilingual worship service open to everyone.

If you want to be part of what's happening in Lindale, there's a place for you here.
